Conviction And Enthusiasm More Important Than Perfection
Without mentioning blogs one single time, an article republished by b-spirit says a great deal about the purpose of corporate blogging. A few quotes:
- The ability to motivate a large number of staff requires the gift of putting across a clear vision convincingly and in a way that creates enthusiasm in others. A company manager who cannot inspire confidence and is not authentic will find this task very difficult.
- The boss must not hide and leave internal and external communication to others or fail altogether to communicate. If that is done, a business may all too soon find itself in the public firing line.
- The boss must speak if he wishes to achieve leadership. He must communicate with everyone with whom he comes into contact at all levels, both internally and externally. And he must constantly repeat the same messages without diverging from his path and always in a transparent, understandable and illuminating manner.
- Times have changed: perfection when speaking is not the ideal; personal conviction, a personal credo and personal enthusiasm are more important.
